At Monica’s we believe in giving back to the community by supporting the needs of our local families and individuals. Here are a few of the ways we give back:

Look Good Feel Better
Look Good Feel Better is a non-medical, brand-neutral public service program that teaches beauty techniques to cancer patients to help them manage the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment.

Wigs for Kids
Wigs for Kids is a cooperative effort among Certified Cosmetic Therapists throughout North America who share a common goal.

Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey

American Cancer Society
The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.

United Way of Bloomfield
The United Way of Bloomfield assists those in need within the Township of Bloomfield, and supports the ongoing community effort in the development, enhancement and promotion of a healthy community.

Nov 2013. With the Holiday Season around the corner we would like to help out the people of Bloomfield who are not as fortunate as we are!! We will be holding our raffle again and all proceeds will go to the United Way to help buy gifts for families who can not afford to do it themselves. […]

Nov 2012. We have a continuous raffle going on. 100 percent of all proceeds will be donated for a good cause. The raffle winner will win either a $50 or $100 gift certificate to Monica’s Salon.

Past Promotions

Nov 2013. During the month of October, Monica’s Salon raised $600 in which all proceeds went to the Minette Grosso McKenna Angel Foundation in Verona, NJ. Thank you to all our clients!

Mar 2012. Monica’s helped support a fundraising event to celebrate the life of Dana Almeida, a Bloomfield resident recently diagnosed with Burkitt’s lymphoma.

Dec 2011. During the entire month of December we made donations to families in Bloomfield to help them buy Christmas gifts for their children. Many Thanks go to our very generous clientele who helped make all this possible!

Oct 2011. We all did the Relay for Life and raised over $700 for charity.

May 2011. Here at Monica’s, we raised $800 at a one-day cutathon on May 22. All proceeds were donated to the Minette Grosso McKenna Angel Foundation. Thanks you!

May 2009. Monica and her staff participated in the Susan Komen Breast Cancer walk in Branch Brook Park. With the help of our generous clients, we raised $1,300 for breast cancer research. Many thanks to everyone who supported us!
